Snowflake simplifies building applications and ML models
Snowflake News
Snowflake is a powerful platform that simplifies the process of building applications and machine learning (ML) models. With its advanced capabilities, Snowflake enables developers to work more efficiently and deliver high-quality solutions. Snowflake now simplifies the development of ML models and full-stack apps for developers using Snowflake’s Data Cloud.
Python Improvements in Snowflake
Snowflake believes that companies increasingly value data with the rise of AI. “Snowflake makes it easier for developers to harness this data so they can build powerful end-to-end machine learning models and full-stack apps in the Data Cloud“,” said Prasanna Krishnan, Senior Director of Product Management at Snowflake.
For this reason, Snowflake is making improvements to the Python programming language used in Snowpark. The focus on Python is the result of recent takeover of Ponder.
Improvements in Snowpark
Currently, Snowflake Notebooks is already available in private preview. This brings a new and interactive interface to Snowpark. However, the real productivity boost is in the notebooks available to developers, allowing them to write, run and train code.
The Snowpark ML Modeling API will also be generally available soon, allowing developers to scale feature engineering and simplify model training. There is also the ability to integrate popular AI and ML frameworks to streamline the workflow.
Snowflake will also be making improvements to the Snowpark ML Operations Enhancements, which will soon be generally available. First, the Snowpark Model Registry will now be built on a native Snowflake model. This will ensure that users benefit from scalable, secure, and manageable models in Snowflake. Deep learning models and open-source language models from Hugging Face will be available soon. Second, developers will have access to an integrated Snowflake Feature Store, which will provide ML features for model training.
Improvements in the app lifecycle
The entire app lifecycle is being addressed with the introduction of the Snowflake Native App Framework. This service will soon be generally available on AWS and will also be in public preview on Azure. The framework promises to provide all the necessary components for developing, deploying, operationalizing, and monetizing apps.
